Don't take it too hard, Quigs. I'm the guy who posted "The Last WONAN On Earth", and boy, did they give me hell for that! I thought I'd never live that one down. I corrected the title but the URL still reads that way.

I once started a blog called "matthewsretroblob".

Well, it was a crappy, poorly done blog anyway, so it is not a huge tragedy that nothing survives from it in the Wayback Machine (I hope).

And then the time I complained about the poor GRAMMER on certain "comedy" posts....perhaps I had Frasier on my mind?

I can't say anything about poor grammer/spelling becouse I have "English As A 2nd Lang" people correcting my spelling/grammer ALL the time.

(Lang is abbreviated becouse I don't know how to spell it)

And I'm bad about not seeing errors when I check thing.
Just today I was trying to make someone feel better and I tryed to type, "You're irreplaceable" but some how I sent "You're replaceable" Some good friend I am.

"Lang"- Language
"Grammer"- Grammar
I think of all the times I wished I used spell check on my computer and that the post would not of moved so fast. Before I realized I made a mistake, the post has uploaded my errors. Oh well. As about students studing English as a Secondary Language, imagine my red face when corrected by them in my school where I taught for many years. On the internet archive, there isn't any spell check.

I worked for an Advertising agency a while back and I was supposed to be the 'third set of eyes' for things going out to be published. There was a girl there who insisted her stuff didn't have to be checked, and because of that she lost her job for the huge snafu of sending out an ad to be published with the company name spelled "RHAS Advertising and Pubic Relations".

Meatpies, i hear you loud and clear. I once worked in the ad department of a heavy equipment manufacturing company. You can imagine the crap all of us guys took after releasing a brochure that had the misspelled word "ERRECTION" (all caps, bold, and 24 pt type) in it.

And that was after the agency, product manager, ad manager and two or three other people had proofed it.
